Returns & Cancellations Policy

This policy applies to all purchases made from pcore.co.uk and is written in accordance with UK consumer legislation, including the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015.


Returns (Consumer Right to Cancel)

If you are a consumer, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 calendar days of receiving your goods, unless an exemption applies (see Non‑Returnable Items below).

To exercise your right to cancel, you must notify us in writing by email within the 14‑day period. Your request must include your order number and the item(s) you wish to return.

Requests made via chargebacks, payment providers, or other channels do not constitute valid cancellation notices.


Non‑Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return, unless faulty or not as described:

  • Custom‑built or made‑to‑order desktop PCs
  • Items built or sourced specifically to customer specifications
  • Software, digital products, or license keys once opened or activated
  • Items clearly marked as non‑returnable at the point of sale

Return Conditions

Approved returns must meet all of the following conditions:

  • Items must be unused, uninstalled, and in resalable condition
  • Items must be returned in original packaging with all accessories, manuals, cables, and protective materials
  • Items must show no signs of use, installation, damage, or modification

You may inspect items as you would in a retail store. Handling beyond what is necessary to inspect the goods may result in a deduction for diminished value.

Any items returned without prior written authorisation may be refused and returned to the customer at their expense.


Return Postage

  • The customer is responsible for return postage costs for change‑of‑mind returns
  • We strongly recommend using a tracked and insured return service, as we cannot accept responsibility for items lost or damaged in transit

If an item is faulty, damaged, or incorrect, we will arrange or reimburse return postage as required by law.


Refunds

Once an approved return is received and inspected:

  • Refunds will be processed within 14 days
  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method only

Delivery Cost Refunds

  • For valid consumer cancellations, we will refund the cost of standard delivery paid at checkout
  • Any enhanced or optional delivery services (if applicable) are non‑refundable

Diminished Value

If returned goods show signs of use, installation, or handling beyond inspection, we reserve the right to make a reasonable deduction from the refund to reflect any loss in value.

No deductions will be made for payment processing fees, administrative costs, or restocking charges.


Rejected Returns

If a return is rejected, the customer must arrange collection or redelivery of the item within 7 days at their own cost. Items not collected within this timeframe may be disposed of.


Faulty or Incorrect Items

If your item is faulty, damaged, or not as described:

  • Please notify us as soon as possible with details of the issue
  • We will repair, replace, or refund the item in accordance with UK consumer law
  • All associated delivery and return costs will be covered by us

Cancellations

Standard Products

Orders for standard (non‑custom) products may be cancelled only before dispatch. Once an order has entered processing or dispatch, cancellation is no longer possible and the returns process must be followed.

Custom‑Built PCs & Special Orders

Some products are built or sourced specifically to meet customer requirements.

For this reason:

  • Custom‑built PCs and made‑to‑order systems cannot be cancelled once the order has been placed
  • Special‑order components cannot be cancelled once procurement has begun

Please ensure all specifications and order details are correct before placing your order.
